Environmental Impact and Economic Benefits of Agricultural Residue Management

  • Our overarching mission is the preservation of the environment, achieved through innovative initiatives such as repurposing rice straw waste to produce biofuel like ethanol and electricity.
  • Collaborating with over 250 balers and fostering relationships with 10,000 farmers, we have established a robust network aimed at sustainable resource utilization.
  • Our collective efforts yield a substantial environmental impact, with an annual reduction of 825,000,000 kg of CO2 emissions facilitated by the operation of over 250 balers.
  • In 2023, our company attained a significant milestone when Rapid Service agency subcontracted HPCL’s tender to us, entailing the meticulous handling of straw stacking, loading, and unloading operations.

  • Each ton of straw, purchased at a cost of Rs. 2000, is processed to generate biogas and manure valued at Rs. 9000, thereby increasing its value by 4.5 times.
  • A ton of stubbles produces 300 liters of 2G bioethanol, valued at Rs. 18,600, and increases the value by a factor of 9, although the required investment is substantial.
  • Our company successfully collected 227,273 tons of stubble, utilizing 250 balers. This collection was strategically deposited across 10 designated sites, encompassing a total of 216 acres of land. The project involved an investment of Rs. 59.1 crores. We have entered into resale agreements with 7 entrepreneurs, and this initiative has resulted in the creation of employment opportunities for 11,364 individuals.
  • Substituting coal with paddy bales or briquettes results in fuel savings of Rs. 26,000 per Megawatt. Similarly, processing crop residues into pulp for paper, cardboard, and corrugated wrapping sheets increases their value by four times.
